Parish Life

Picture - OLMC Church Parish Life
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel (OLMC) is a community of the Christian Faithful, which has been granted many of the rights and privileges of a parish, by the Archbishop of Denver, Most. Rev. Charles J. Chaput. It is non-territorial, and provides the sacraments and pastoral care to Catholics who desire to worship our Lord using the liturgical books of 1962. This is the primary reason many are drawn to this church, but others are drawn because they find a number of organizations to support them. For example, OLMC has a large network of home-schooling families who share information and meet regularly for organized field trips and social activities. The strong sense of community at OLMC is evidenced by the tremendous turn-out at our annual picnic, Christmas party and other events organized throughout the year.

History of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel - Latin Mass Community (OLMC)

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Latin Mass Community was established on July 16, 1996 by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter.

our lady mt carmel
Devotion to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel dates back to the 13th Century when according to Carmelite tradition, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Simon Stock and gave him the Brown Scapular. The Brown Scapular is worn by many Catholic faithful as a sign of love and devotion for the Mother of God.

Most worthy Queen of the World,
Mary ever Virgin,
pray for our peace and safety;
thou who didst bring forth
Christ the Lord
and Saviour of all mankind.
